Is The OnePlus Nord Worth Buying?

No doubt, OnePlus has maintained its ‘value for money’ tag again by introducing OnePlus Nord to the market, which will cost you around 1006.61 AED to 1510.12 AED.

OnePlus Nord is going to launch on August 6 likely in the UK market. Unfortunately, the mobile will not be released in the US market.

There are some interesting facts that we are going to share, but let’s start with the good stuff first! One of the biggest reasons to buy the OnePlus Nord is obvious its affordable price range and its OxygenOS software experience.

This OnePlus handset comes with OxygenOS 10.5 based on Android 10, which is complete with all the features you were expecting, like Dark Theme, gesture navigations, and Zen Mode. The mobile comes with Snapdragon 765G processor, up to 12GB of RAM, four rear cameras, a big battery with Warp Charge 30T, and 5G support.

Though the mobile is a mid-range cell phone, looking at the build-up quality it does not look like a run-of-the-device. OnePlus has put some extra effort into the design of the product, hence it feels premium on touch, and the weight of the phone is also well balanced.

So, is this handset worth buying?… It depends on what you’re after!

The handset has a downgraded processor compared to the company’s flagship series and lacks a few other high-end features to fit the handset in this particular price segment.

The handset is more than powerful enough to handle everyday tasks with ease with the help of Qualcomm SnapDragon 765G processor, but if you want to play heavier games you might have to look elsewhere. Another drawback of the Nord we would like to mention is its camera. Overall camera is pleasing but definitely not the best.

This is because as long as you use the primary camera the output is good. But it’s not the same with other secondary cameras. So if camera quality is a priority for you, then you should rather go with Pixel 4a.

Also, there is no headphone jack on board, nor is there a microSD card slot, which makes it worrisome considering that the base variant of the phone in India only comes with 64GB of storage. So overall we can say that OnePlus Nord is a great cellphone but it’s not for everyone.
