Rarely do phone lines become congested with text messaging apps having become an integral part of our day-to-day communication. An interruption in the timely delivery of your messages can occur due to post-gathering, an impending natural disaster, or peak hours of usage. You can find a way to get your texts through despite GSM mobile network distress by using specific strategies.

1. Switch to Wi-Fi Messaging Apps
When cellular networks become congested, using messaging apps operating over Wi-Fi is one of the best options. WhatsApp, Telegram, and Message pull on the Internet, as opposed to the cellular network. Messages are transmitted even during busy phone times. This works best if the following steps are taken:
Make sure you are connected to a good Wi-Fi connection.

Open your preferred messaging app.
Send your messages as usual.
Wi-Fi applications solve the problem of busy phone lines and, in many cases, provide faster and more reliable message delivery.

2. Keep Yourself Updated During Off-Peak Hours
The availability of sending text messages can depend on the time used. If possible, wait until off-peak hours to send such messages. Generally, early morning or late evening periods are less congested. Some mobile carriers assign such texts to auto-queue to send out when the network is ready. This method may require a little more patience but is often effective.

3. Be Short
More contents need more time for transmission and hence face more delays as the network is busy. Thus, if you want your text to go through, then keep the contents brief and within 160 characters maximum. This reduces the time taken to transmit the text and lowers the chance of splitting your message into parts, which can cause additional delivery issues.

And lastly, toggle Airplane Mode.
If you are constantly having trouble sending texts, enable Airplane Mode to refresh your phone connection with the network. To switch it on, do the following:

Enable: From the top of the screen, swipe down and tap the airplane icon.
Wait for some time; the phone will disconnect from the network.
4. Disable: Tap the airplane icon again to reconnect.
This method will force your device to search for at least one of the less congested towers, therefore giving you a slightly better chance to squeeze through with your text message.

5. Send a Test Message First

The recipient could send a test message before moving on to important or longer texts by sending a “Hi” or “Test” message. The test message is delivered, allowing you to compose more important texts with the confidence that they might reach their destination. If it doesn’t go through, you might want to wait until a less busy time.

6. Use Dual SIM Back and Forth
If you have dual-SIM functionality on your phone, switching between SIM cards could be an actual approach to try and circumvent this congestion. Go about it like this:

Understand which carrier has less congestion or Network service.
Switch to the alternate SIM in your device settings.
Send your messages through that SIM.
You can improve your chances of the texts being sent through just by giving it a thought while picking which SIM to use.

7. Sending Multimedia Messages
Sending multimedia messages (MMS) may enhance communication, but it takes a lot of bandwidth to be successful through a busy network. When sending images or videos, try to:

Use Wi-Fi for sending multimedia messages that are heavy.
Keeping a message in sync with just-discussed material will improve the chances of it being effectively transmitted.
8. Other Communication Methods
Wherever phone lines may seem too congested, look for an alternative to communicating media like Facebook Messenger or Twitter.

DMs or either email can work. These are just some of the messaging platforms that may work separately from your phone service and might allow for a closer alternative to SMS.

The Conclusion
Just because you have busy signals does not mean you cannot communicate at all. Practice some or all of these strategies for Wi-Fi messaging, text strategically, and keep texts very short, in general, to facilitate sending. Remember, calm down, seek alternatives, and you should have a good chance of making a connection, whatever happens.
